Description: Are you the kind of person that has an ability and desire to take things apart and figure them out? Well, the Mendoza Company is looking to hire someone like you. Our company owns five local McDonald’s restaurants in Columbus, Ohio and we are looking to hire a full-time Maintenance and Repair position within our organization. The Job Responsibilities are: 1) Perform the routine planned maintenance (i.e. changing filters, gaskets, cleaning coils, etc.) on the equipment and HVAC systems for five McDonald’s restaurants. *Below are some examples of the equipment used in restaurants: a. HVAC Units b. Food freezers and coolers of various types and sizes c. Ice machines d. Grills e. Fryers f. Hot holding equipment g. Beverage equipment h. Blending and dessert equipment 2) Perform repairs on equipment in restaurants 3) Perform various repairs in relation to physical plant of the restaurant (i.e. Hang cabinets, replace tile, etc.) 4) Supervise five Maintenance men to ensure maintenance of the restaurant’s physical plant and detail cleanliness of the restaurant and equipment. 5) Assist in making calls, coordinating and follow up on projects that will have to be outsourced. (i.e. exterior building being painted or dining room remodel.) The Maintenance & Repair position is a salaried position with a range of 30-40k to start depending on current skill levels, experience etc. A bonus program is available and is structured based on 3 elements: M&R savings over prior year, Utilities cost savings and McDonald’s scoring of the Maintenance of the restaurants. *McDonald’s has a great deal of resources for the right person to utilize including free technical support lines for each type of equipment, step by step planned maintenance manual for all equipment, easy ordering guides with great exploded illustrations for all equipment, troubleshooting manuals and classes for the major equipment. (i.e. grills, fryers, shake machines, etc.)
